My new hubby and I were so lucky that we were able to sneak away right after our wedding to Negril for a week long honeymoon. I surprised my husband with first class seats on the plane (well worth the money if you ask me!). It was a smooth flight and when we arrived in Jamaica it is was easy going! We were immediately put on a transfer, no waiting, and within an hour and half bus ride we were in our hotel. We had the Butler Honeymoon Suite. This provided us with a few luxuries. To be honest, I don't know if my husband and I are butler people. Most times when we didn't want to bother our butler so we did things ourselves (maybe that is the Canadian in us!). But the few luxuries we did take advantage of were well worth it. We were awoken to breakfast every morning on our private balcony overlooking the ocean. After breakfast, we would walk to the beach where lounge chairs and an umbrella were reserved for us with towels, floaties, and my favourite- a cooler of beer and water! We often called our butler to get us lunch and we had lunch on the beach. We also never had to worry about reservations for restaurants as that was done for us as well. The massage on the beach is worth the walk- it was amazing to feel the breeze and hear the ocean in the relaxation of a couples massage. It was the perfect honeymoon! I definitely recommend venturing down the beach and picking out some lobster from the "Lobster Man"… delicious! The only caution is the photographers! They are everywhere and sometimes we felt obligated to let them take our photo. At the end of our trip we went to go check out our photos and they are outrageously priced! We did get suckered into buying a package but that is because we only wanted one photo but there is a minimum buy of five! Oh well, we have some pretty hilarious cheesy photos to show!

Overall, I would say Sandals Negril is a must... and if Sandals have that standard then go world wide! And the only person you should book with is Miranda. She has been the go to person for myself and family for several years now and there is no trip Miranda has not made amazing for us. She has this knack for finding great deals on flights and her own travelling makes for some great recommendations... it was her recommendation of Sandals that encouraged us to go there. Thanks Miranda!
